Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Herndon, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a 314,939-square-foot development; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for the demolition of a development.

Summary: Sealed bids are hereby solicited for construction of Folly Lick Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Improvement Project located in Herndon, Virginia. The work shall include the following: Folly Lick Sanitary Sewer Replacement: Construction of approximately 900-feet of new 24-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewer, demolition of approximately 900-feet of existing 21-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe sewer, replacement of existing concrete manholes with new manholes, modifications to the existing sewer metering station and operation of a temporary sewer by-pass system during construction. The pedestrian trail will be used as access and restored at the end of the work. Holly Creek Stormwater Pond Maintenance: Maintenance of one of the Town's Dry Pond which includes removal of accumulated sediment and restoration to existing conditions. This is a lump sum contract. Contract length is 210 calendar days to date of Substantial Completion. This project is federally funded through the American Rescue Plan Act Fund (ARPA Fund). All questions concerning the project shall be submitted through the procurement portal at online. The procurement portal is the only point where information will be disseminated. All questions must be submitted through the procurement portal no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be binding for sixty (60) days. The Town of Herndon reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the town. The pedestrian bridge connecting Fairfax County's Folly Lick Branch Trail at approximately STA 1+30.6 should be opened during the weekends when safely able and there is no active construction. This will be done on a case-by-case basis.
