Project construction will be let under the following Prime Contracts with construction including, but not limited to, the following major work items A. CONTRACT I, GENERAL WWTP IMPROVEMENTS 1. Contract I, consists of structural repair of the perimeter dikes for each lagoon, installing baffle curtain walls in each lagoon, installation of an influent bar screen, installation of a dual train chlorination contact chamber and a dechlorination system. a. DIKE STRUCTURAL REPAIRS 1) The perimeter dikes for each lagoon shall be restored to the elevations and slopes as shown on the plans. The damaged areas shall be assessed and prepared to ensure proper structural repairs are achieved, approved soil material shall be compacted in place and graded to the elevations shown. All drive areas shall be reestablished with like stone to the elevations shown on the plans. 2) Soil Test were sampled and the results are attached in the Appendix. Contract I, General WWTP Improvements consists of structural repair of the perimeter dikes for three existing WWTP lagoons, installing baffle curtain walls in each lagoon, installation of an influent bar screen, installation of a dual train chlorination contact chamber and a dechlorination system. Contract II, WWTP Sludge Removal consists of furnishing environmental biosolids removal and disposal services, including licenses, permitting, labor, equipment, parts, materials, testing, or other incidental work for one time removal of accumulated wastewater biosolids from the existing wastewater treatment lagoons at the Town of Garland Wastewater Treatment Plant. Supplier shall provide the services of a factory-trained representative to check the installation and to start up each Chain & Rake System and controller. The factory representative shall have complete knowledge of proper installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment supplied. Representative shall inspect the final installation and supervise a start-up test of the equipment.
