The scope of work generally includes the excavation, grading, planting, and seeding of a stream and floodplain restoration project on Otter Creek between N. Berlin Avenue and N. Yarrow Street. Work specifically includes excavation of two floodplain areas, parallel stream channel, streambank stabilization, rerouting of existing storm sewer, various drainage work, and installation of instream rock riffles, plugs, trees, shrubs, and seed mixes, and associated floodplain and wetland restoration Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code and the Information To Bidders. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be satisfactory to the City and be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity The City of Oregon intends and requires that this project be completed no later than July 29, 2025. Attention of bidders is called to all the requirements contained in the bid packet, particularly to the State of Ohio Prevailing Wage requirements, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for a performance bond or a bid guaranty and contract bond for 100% of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Council of the City of Oregon, Ohio, reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
