All bidders, including subcontractors, with bids in excess of $50,000 must be prequalified through the Kalamazoo County responsible bidder program. No Bid May Be Withdrawn for at Least 120 Days After Bid Opening. Kalamazoo Avenue, Room 402, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 Email: glbrya@kalcounty.com Q & A Posted: July 24, 2024 Provide all labor, materials, equipment, disposal and liability insurance for Solar Design Engineering Services work, as described in these instructions for design and build through project installation fees for on an "as-needed" basis. The notice of bid acceptance does not constitute a directive to proceed. Typical Projects Will Entail the Following: Provide bid documents, quotes, infield studies, permits and permitting forms and coordination for distributive generation and other project management, studies, engineering studies or bidding documentation, assistance with grants and rebates for replacements of building electrical system components, installation of solar fields and arrays and the components of a complete system. Provide construction drawings to include details and specifications; of site and electrical documentation for code approval, utility approvals, bidding and construction; issue documents for bidding to contractors selected by County; attend pre-bid meetings; assist contractors with question, providing on site supervision and post warranty reviews and documentation and all documentation and closeouts, studies of pre and post implementation and performance. Provide shop drawing review; address and respond to RFI's and field reports, issue change orders and bulletins as needed. Provide final walk-through/punch list creation and reviews at project completion, owners meetings and project coordination. The time period of the award shall be for the calendar starting August 1, 2024, and ending July 31, 2027, for a three (3) year contract, with the option of two (2) one (1) year extensions. The County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals without penalty and re-solicit for new proposals, and temporarily or permanently abandon the Project. The County makes no representations, written or oral, that it will enter into any form of agreement with any Respondent to this RFP for any project and no such representation is intended or should be construed by the issuance of this RFP. The County also reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in proposals, and/or negotiate separately the terms and conditions of all or any part of the proposals as deemed to be in the County's best interests at its sole discretion even though not the lowest cost. No proposal shall be accepted from any party who is in default on the payment of taxes or other liability due the County. The County further reserves the right to request additional information from prospective Respondents to be interviewed as the County deems necessary. Respondents must provide one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days for acceptance by the County from the due date for receipt of proposals.
