2024 Street Rehabilitation and Maintenance. Description: Concrete curb and sidewalk construction consisting of the following approximate quantities: Concrete Curb & Gutter (250 lineal feet), Concrete Sidewalk and Driveways (800 square feet), Remove Asphalt and Fine Grade Base (8,500 square yards), and Hot-Mix Asphalt Pavement (1,500 tons). Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Village of Cross Plains within the last year or must be pre-qualified for this work 5 days prior to the bid deadline in accordance with Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bidders must be experienced in municipal street construction. The Village of Cross Plains reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. A. The project includes spot repairs of concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk, fine grading, base repair, and asphalt paving on various streets in the Village: 1. Lewis Street (Caesar Street to 200 feet west of American Legion Drive) 2. American Legion Drive (Julius Street to Lewis Street) 3. Misty Mountain Court (Lewis Street to end) 4. Sylvia Pine Way (American Legion Drive to Caesar Street) is included as an alternate bid. B. Valve box adjustments, casing adjustments, and grass restoration will be done by Village forces. Remaining work will be performed under a single contract.
