City of Chamblee, Georgia is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Village Park Turf Field Improvements The Project includes the following Work: Selective demolition of the existing landscaped area located at Village Park in Chamblee, Georgia. Landscaped material will be replaced with artificial turf and necessary secondary drainage as specified by vendor. This project is funded in part by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and subject to compliance with funding agency regulations. All required federal, state, and local permits as well as required easements or rights of way for the project will be obtained prior to Construction. Bidders should make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses. Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin; Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964; and the Davis-Bacon Act. A satisfactory Bid Bond (in the amount of 5% of the Bid), executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable surety company listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, will accompany each BID. In lieu of a Bid Bond, the City will accept a cashier's check, certified check, or cash deposit in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total contract amount. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the bidding, to evaluate Bids, and to accept any Bid, which in his opinion, may be for his best interest.
