As of August 13, 2024, project was awarded to Conservation Services, Inc., but the awarded amount is not available. The Department reserves the right to reject any and all bids Proper certification for ground crew is required, with oversight of a professional having a Virginia Commercial Pesticide Applicator license, Pesticide Business License, and a Certificate of Insurance with the amounts of insurance indicated in the General Terms and Conditions attachment The contractor shall have five or more years of experience performing similar work as described in this contract. 2. The contractor shall carry out work according to the DOF-provided project plan. 3. The contractor shall contact the Contract Administrator and landowner at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of site activity. 4. Landowner information must be stored and transmitted securely and must not be shared with any parties other than those directly involved in carrying out the required practices. 5. Contractor will submit ArcGIS Survey123 Practice Completion Reports to notify DOF of completion of each activity related to site preparation, planting, and maintenance within five days of completion. Failure to submit the report will be considered a deficiency of contractor performance that could result in delay of payment. 6. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals necessary to furnish, install, and maintain Riparian Forest Buffers. All equipment, materials, and installation work shall comply with this specification and the Virginia OSHA Standards. a. Required equipment to complete site preparation, planting, and maintenance activities include: i. A bush hog or mower capable of navigating diverse terrains. ii. Herbicide application equipment, either for spray application or targeted invasive plant treatment, including but not limited to one or more of the following: backpack sprayer, boom sprayer attachment and an all-terrain vehicle or tractor, chemical resistant spray bottle, wide-mouth unitary wash bottle, buckthorn blaster sticks. iii. Hand tools for tree planting and tree shelter installation and targeted invasive plant treatment including but not limited to one or more of the following: tree spade, dibble bar, planting hoe, scalping tool, mallet, hammer, hatchet, hand pruners, loppers, brush cutter. iv. Personal protective equipment as dictated by the herbicide label and safety data sheet or equipment safety manual. Period of contract: from award of contract and issuance of purchase order through April 18th, 2026.
