\Nash County is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified engineering firms for engineering and design, creating contract (PS&E) documents, and permitting necessary to support the construction of a third industrial shell building at the county's Middlesex Corporate Centre located near the interchange of NC 231 and US 264 Alternate on the north side of Middlesex, NC. The proposed building is to be located on a combined lot (PARIDs 346830 and 346831) located at the entrance to the industrial park from US 264 Alternate. A vicinity map is provided for reference as part of this RFQ. As envisioned, the county proposes to construct a 50,000-square-foot industrial building (similar to shell buildings 1 and 2) that is capable of being expanded. Scope of Services In preparing SOQs to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) responding firm(s) shall address their proposed project approach by highlighting experience in site/civil design, utilities infrastructure, construction observation and administration, and developing contract docs (PS&E). Respondents may view evaluation criteria for RFQ reviewers in following pages. Responding firm(s) SOQs shall include submitting a draft project schedule laid out in weeks. Respondents shall also provide information related to current work load for staff expected to be assigned to this project. The following is a basic, not all encompassing, scope of work. The final scope of work and accompanying price proposal shall be negotiated between Nash County and the most qualified, responsive firm. The County reserves the right to reject and all submittals either in whole or in part. The County also reserves the right to (1) amend, modify, or withdraw this solicitation; (2) revise any requirement of this solicitation; (3) require supplemental statements or information from any responsible party; (4) extend the deadline for submission of responses hereto; (5) negotiate or hold discussions with any firm and to correct deficient responses which do not conform to the instructions herein; (6) cancel, or reissue in whole or in part, this solicitation, if the County determines in its sole discretion that it is in its best interest to do so; and (7) extend the term of any agreement on terms consistent with this procurement.
