Questions Due Date: Aug 7th 2024, 4:00 PM CDT The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (District) invites engineering consulting firms who have experience with the design of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for water reclamation, manufacturing, or industrial buildings to submit sealed proposals for engineering services for HVAC System Upgrade in Building 258 at Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility The purpose of this project is to ensure the District maintains operations of biosolids processing at the D&D facility as this process is critical in supporting permit compliance, providing Milorganite revenue, and maintaining efficient operations. The project will replace or upgrade heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure they efficiently heat, condition, and ventilate the areas they serve in the D&D Facility. The project will also address NFPA 820 upgrades in the D&D Facility to improve safety, and incorporate HVAC improvements to improve energy efficiency. The general scope includes engineering services to replace and improve the D&D Facility HVAC system: o Review of existing reference information o Meetings with representatives from the District and Veolia o Agency and government coordination o Field inspection and equipment inventory o Conduct energy audit baseline and modeling on existing HVAC system o Engineering evaluations and design of HVAC systems as outlined in the scope o Delivery of a Design Report o Evaluate and recommend construction constraints, sequences and schedule to minimize impacts to D&D operations. o Provide bid and construction documents (plans and specifications). o Bid and award services o Facility operation and maintenance manual updates, training and startup services o Applications engineering, including programming, related to the new aeration system, instrumentation and controls.
