Renovation of a water / sewer project in Bend, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of Bend invites Sealed Bids for construction of the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Headworks Odorous Air Ductwork Replacement Project. The Project involves the replacement of existing stainless-steel ducting in the headworks building due to extensive corrosion. Ducting will be replaced with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic sized to match existing duct and replace it in kind. Bidders are responsible for making sure they have all addenda before submitting bids. Please contact the Issuing Officer no later than two (2) business days prior to Bid due date to make arrangements ahead of time for an in-person submission. Hard copies will not be accepted unless the Bidder has made arrangements ahead of time. If a hard copy of the Bid is submitted without prior coordination with the Issuing Officer, the Bid will be returned (unopened) to the Bidder without consideration. No faxed or emailed submissions will be accepted. This project is subject to the provisions of ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870 regarding payment of prevailing wages. The City of Bend reserves the right to: 1) reject any or all bids not in compliance with public bidding procedures, 2) to postpone award of the contact for a period not to exceed sixty days from the date of bid opening, 3) to waive informalities in the bids, and 4) to select the bid which appears to be in the interest of the City The Engineer's estimate is $300,000 to $400,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Ducting will be replaced with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) sized to match existing duct and replace it in kind. Contractor to verify FRP product will pass through existing floor penetrations. Construct additional drainage features, flange disconnects, and accessways per construction drawings. Equipment serviced by existing foul air ducting must remain in service with temporary foul air ducting provided by the contractor. Equipment includes three wastewater screens, washing units, compactors, dumpster, and a wet well. All systems must be connected to temporary ducting and vented to the exterior of the building. During installation, individual pieces of equipment may be taken offline after coordinating with the Project Manager.
