Included in the project is the replacement of pier top service station connections for the systems, limited landside piping replacements, which uses existing bulkhead penetrations, buried landside piping, valve manholes pits, valves for both systems, manhole, and removing paint and applying new paint on the protection cages for top service connections. The works for this project include: Replacement of approximately 2,700 LF of sanitary sewer piping under Pier 12 and approximately 100 LF shore side to the first existing manhole / cleanout (using two existing bulkhead penetrations). Under pier piping will be replaced with similar size HDPE pipe and buried (shore side) pipe will be replaced with epoxy coated ductile iron pipe. 316L stainless steel hangers, brackets and fasteners will be used under the pier. HDPE pipe systems will include thermal expansion fittings to support seasonal temperature variations. Pier 12 has two sanitary sewer service lines, one north side and one south side of the pier. Replacement of approximately 2650 LF of sanitary sewer piping under Pier 14 and approximately 100 LF shore side to the first existing manhole (single bulkhead penetration). Under pier piping will be replaced with similar size HDPE pipe, matching existing slope, and buried (shore side) pipe will be replaced with epoxy coated ductile iron pipe. 316L stainless steel hangers, brackets and fasteners will be used under the pier. Estimated Budget Amount or Price Range: In accordance with DFARS 236.204 Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the estimated price range for this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 Time for Completion: Contract completion date is 730 calendar days. The days are calculated from date of task order award, which includes the initial 15 days allowed for distribution of the task order award, submission and approval of insurance, bonding and other requirements set forth in the task order/MACC. Task order award is considered notice to proceed.
