Construction of asphalt speed cushions, placement of associated pavement markings, striping, traffic signs and temporary traffic control. Locations: E. E-Mail: mfink@washoecounty.gov Phone: 775-328-2050 The work consists of, but is not limited to, the construction of asphalt speed cushions, asphalt speed tables, placement of associated pavement markings, striping, traffic signs and temporary traffic control at various locations. A. The contractor is required to provide written notification of the work to be performed at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the start of construction to each resident on the affected street. Site locations of the Work to be performed are East Hidden Valley Drive B. The Scope of Work for Base Bid Number 1 includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) MOBILIZATION AND DE-MOBILIZATION: Shall include, but not limited to, all mobilization and de-mobilization of equipment, personnel, tools, site amenities, and all other items necessary for successful completion of the project based on all construction documentation. 2) PREPARATION OF ASPHALT SURFACES: Shall include, but not limited to, all equipment, personnel, tools, site amenities and all other items necessary for successful completion of the preparation of the existing asphalt surface, including asphalt grinding, removal of asphalt grindings, surface cleaning of all loose material and placement of tack coat per plan and detail in preparation for the construction of asphalt speed tables. Contractor to include all legal dumping and disposal fees. 3) CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT SPEED TABLES: Shall include, but not limited to, all equipment, personnel, tools, site amenities and all other items necessary for successful construction of the asphalt speed tables of the size, dimension, and compaction requirements per plan and detail. 4) FURNISH AND INSTALL TRAFFIC CALMING AHEAD SIGNS: Shall include, but not limited to, all equipment, personnel, tools, site amenities, and all other items necessary for successful completion and installation of the signs. Scope of work to include, purchasing, shipping, storage and delivery of signs and sign components, layout, sign foundation excavation, placing concrete sign foundation, erection/installation of signs and sign components, per plan and details. 5) FURNISH AND INSTALL SPEED TABLE SIGNS WITH MPH PLACARD SIGNS: Shall include, but not limited to, all equipment, personnel, tools, site amenities, and all other items necessary for successful completion and installation of the signs. Scope of work to include, purchasing, shipping, storage and delivery of signs and sign components, layout, sign foundation excavation, placing concrete sign foundation, erection/installation of signs and sign components, per plan and details. 6) FURNISH AND INSTALL PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND STRIPING: Shall include, but are not limited to, all equipment, personnel, tools, site amenities, and all other items necessary for the successful completion and installation of thermoplastic pavement markings and striping, of the size, dimensions and locations, per plan and detail. 7) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL: Shall include, but not limited to, all equipment, personnel, tools, site amenities, and all other items necessary for successful completion of a comprehensive traffic control plan. Traffic control plans shall be submitted and approved by Washoe County prior construction. To include preparation of plans, notices, in addition to setup, removal and maintenance of all barricades, signs, channelizing devices, barrels, cones, flag persons, detours, pilot cars, arrow boards, message boards, and incidentals necessary to provide traffic control throughout the duration of the project, per the most recent addition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Traffic control personnel and flaggers shall be American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) certified. Traffic control shall not be removed until pavement striping and marking and signage have been installed.
