Site work for a mixed-use development in Lee, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Town of Lee, Massachusetts requests quotations for the following services at Lee Skate Park at the Lee Athletic Field, located at 126 Housatonic Street (Map 19, Lot 1), at the west side of the Housatonic Street: 1. Install MADEP File Number sign. 2. Install erosion control. 3. Appear before the Lee Conservation Commission prior to starting work. 4. Remove the Lee Skate Park sign. 5. Excavate soil as needed at the skate park. 6. Install additional concrete at skate park, pitched toward the trench. 7. Install 2' wide x 1' deep stone infiltration trench adjacent to skate park. 8. Paint or otherwise mark an outline of the original skate loop to provide skaters the option of following the previous track flow. 9. Reinstall the Lee Skate Park sign. 10. Restore all disturbed areas to pre-construction conditions. 11. Schedule a site visit for the Conservation Commission upon completion of all site work. 12. Remove erosion control once site is stabilized. The current footprint of the Lee Skate Park is 4,055+- s.f. (without elevation). The expansion of the skate park will add 3,745+- s.f. of usable skate area. The final dimension of the skate park after the expansion will be 120'+- x 65'+-. Contractor shall supply 4,000 psi concrete with 3/4" aggregate and 4-5" slump. Contractor shall place concrete over a 6" thick base of crushed stone. Control joints shall be installed to match the existing configuration. The surface shall be similar to the existing surface with a smooth uniform trowel finish. Additionally, Contractor shall reinforce the concrete with welded wire mesh 6"x6" x 10 gauge. Contractor shall pin the new concrete slab to the existing slab with 1/2"x8" dowels spaced at 24" on center". All of the work will occur within existing lawn areas and no trees will be removed. The entire site is located within the 100 year floodplain. A portion of the work is located within the 100' buffer zone of a nearby wetlands.. Services must be completed no later than April 30, 2025 The Town of Lee reserves the right to refuse all quotations.
