**As of August 21, 2024 bids received for this project were over the budget and was rejected. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid. The project generally consists of various park improvements for Leeds Avenue, Max Manning, and Cresson Avenue. The park improvements include the following: 500 TN HMA19M64 base course, 250 TN HMA9.5M64 surface course, 304 CY DGA subbase course, 2,725 SY acrylic court color coating and line striping, 2 UN tennis equipment set, 6 UN grizzly adjustable basketball system, 3 UN portable 5 row bleacher, and all other associated work. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cash of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within twenty-one (21) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bonds. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cash. A bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, may be substituted for certified check or cash. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Experience and Certificate of Equipment. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey guaranteeing that if the proposal of the bidder be accepted they will furnish the bond set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. The City Council of the City of Pleasantville reserves the right to reject any or all bids if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the City to do so.
