Nassau, Suffolk Cos., Bridge Maintenance - Where & When - Various Locations., Bid Deposit: 5% of Bid (~ $200,000.00) , Goals: Mbe: 5.00%, Wbe: 10.00%, Sdvob: 0.00% This project proposes to provide maintenance or structural repairs to various bridges elements to maintain their reliability and integrity and help assure the continued safety of the traveling public in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis to bridges throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. In addition, the following bridges will be included in this project: 1. Washington Avenue over Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County. 2. Station Road over NY27 (Sunrise Highway) in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County. Project Status The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Fall 2024. Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2024. Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2026. Every bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or bank cashier's check payable to the NYS Department of Transportation, in the sum of the amount shown on the proposal title page. Bonds must be on form CONR 391. Electronic bids must include an electronic bid bond.
