The chip seal project manual is available at the Burke Town Hall. The project consists of chip seal of approximately 35,173 square yards of pavement on Wynter Lane, Wood Drive, Portage Road, Mary Ida Drive and the Ledges Subdivision (Fox Run, Festival Way, Harvest Lane, Shiloh, Rebel and Token Roads) using two different chip seal materials. Award of the Contract: It is anticipated that the Burke Town Board will select and award the contract the evening of Wednesday, August 17, 2024 at the regularly scheduled Town Board Meeting. If the bid is accepted, the bidder shall submit the required certificate of insurance within 5 days after notice of award. Failure on the part of the bidder will result in the withdrawal of the award. All work awarded is to be completed during the 2024 construction season no later than October 1, 2024, and must be warranted for a minimum of one year. The Town of Burke reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technicalities, and accept any bid, which it deems advantageous to the Town. The Town also reserves the right to decrease the size of the initial plan based on budgetary limitations. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Town of Burke for a period of 60 days after the scheduled time of closing bids.
