Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes all labor, material and equipment required to complete the work described in this proposal request, and the accompanying bid documents. The Joseph P. Martinez Park is located north of 7th Avenue between Tennyson Street and Perry Street. It is an existing 12-acre park surrounded by single family homes. Lakewood Gulch runs through the park. This project addresses Phase 1A of the Master Plan and includes a new renovated playground and sports complex, park amenities and new pavilion construction. There will be a new Tribute Plaza, cultural playground, gathering pavilion, parking lot, half basketball-sports court, fitness station area, multi-use lawn area as well as irrigation, asphalt parking lot, concrete walkways, and landscape improvements and native seed conversion areas. Landscape maintenance is required for a period following construction as outlined within the Project Specifications. Contractor shall include the cost for all required permit fees in their bid. Permits will be reimbursed at cost, with no markup allowed. Contractor will be required to haul dedicated loads (non-hazardous entire loads of waste) to the Denver Arapahoe Disposal Site (DADS) for disposal. The City will pay all fees associated with such disposal, but the bidder shall be responsible for the costs of transporting the loads. A project Materials Management Plan has been provided as Exhibit C in the Project Specifications. There is no intent for any part of this Proposal Request and/or its associated documents to restrict competitive procurement of goods and services. The City will consider any goods and services that comply with the performance criteria indicated. Liquidated damages are to be set at $100/Day on this project. This project needs to be complete prior to date December 31, 2025. Contractor shall coordinate as necessary with DDPHE for environmental remediation, and Denver Public Art for the 1% public art on the project. These entities will need access to the site prior to turnover to the City. Lakewood Gulch will be under construction for maintenance and bank stabilization for a period of time in Q4 2024 and Q1 2025. The area planned for construction is south of the existing Lakewood gulch regional trail, approximately 100' west of the existing pedestrian bridge in the park and continues downstream near the end of the park. Actual construction for Lakewood Gulch maintenance project sits outside of the Martinez Park Phase 1A Limits of Construction however, the adjacency of location and concurrent nature of activities may require coordination between construction teams at times. This project involves City owned trees, and the City's Forestry Department requires contractors to fill out and to continue a bi-weekly watering log provided by the City. Soil moisture readings must be at a 6. Provide a project schedule with the start date of September 1, 2024. The project is expected to be substantially complete on October 1, 2025. Provide durations of all activities, lead times for material not readily available, breakout of project phasing (if required) and enough detail to illustrate the overall plan to successfully execute the project. The Contractor can assume Working Hours are: 7AM- 5PM Monday through Friday. The Contractor agrees to achieve the schedule as outlined. If for some reason the Contractor cannot meet the schedule as outlined, the bid submission must include a notification of such. PN - LCS 0170
