Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lind, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This project is funded through the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board funds. All work performed will be subject to state prevailing wage rates. The Town shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by cash, a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, payable to the Town of Lind, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the full amount of the contract price. The base bid work generally consists of completing a scrub seal over approximately 9,800 SY of existing asphalt and including a fog seal over the finished scrub seal. Work also includes striping, painted crosswalks, and painted stop lines at specified locations after completion of fog seal. The Town of Lind is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. Twenty (20) working days will be allowed to complete the Base Bid. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Contractor shall provide signs and other traffic control devices not otherwise specified as being furnished by the Contracting Agency. The Contractor shall erect and maintain all construction signs, warning signs, detour signs, and other traffic control devices necessary to warn and protect the public at all times from injury or damage as a result of the Contractors operations which may occur on highways, roads, streets, sidewalks, or paths. No work shall be done on or adjacent to any traveled way until all necessary signs and traffic control devices are in place. A scrub seal is the application of emulsified asphalt with a scrub broom followed immediately by an application of a single layer of cover aggregate. The treatment can be applied as a wearing surface or as an interlayer. The applied material shall completely seal the pavement surface and provide a uniform textured surface, suitable for placement of hot mixed asphalt, micro-surfacing, slurry seal, fog seal or as a finished surface. The work shall be done in the following order: Preparing the pavement surface; applying the emulsified asphalt and scrubbing the applied emulsion sealer with a scrub broom as specified herein; applying aggregate, brooming the aggregate with a secondary broom when specified, rolling the aggregate; and sweeping up and disposing of excess aggregate off of the job site.
