Title: H110 Upgrade Fire Protection System Location of the Work: H110 Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD Description of the Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform all work in Hanger 110 in accordance with technical specifications and drawings: Survey the existing fire alarm system to be demolished and provided with a functioning error free new building wide combined fire alarm & mass notification system. Fire Alarm: Demolish the existing building fire alarm and detection system. Fire Alarm: Provide a new combination fire alarm and mass notification system throughout the entire hangar building capable to notify occupants in the event of an emergency. Fire Alarm: Provide flame detectors such that all portions of the hangar bay are within the range and cone-of-vision of at least one detector per ITG FY 23-02. The fire protection systems are to be surveyed to remove fire suppression system components associated with the release of the low-level AFFF foam suppression system and the release of the pre-action fire sprinkler system. Hangar Bays Pre-Action Releasing Components: Demolish the existing fire detection and release components associated with the release of the pre-action sprinkler valve Existing fire suppression system piping and grate nozzles associated with the AFFF systems are to remain capped and abandoned in place. Hangar Bays Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems: Perform hydrostatic testing of existing fire sprinkler system piping and convert the existing overhead pre-action fire sprinkler systems to a new wetpipe sprinkler system. Connect water supply to the existing water service main fed from the existing fire pump located in Building 2821. Pre Proposal Inquiry (PPIs): Offerors who determine that the technical and or contractual requirements of this RFP require clarification(s) in order to permit submittal of a responsive proposal shall submit all questions in writing.
