Fairview Parkway. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project generally includes paving, storm drainage, water, and traffic signals. Bidders must submit with their bids a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to the OWNER from an approved Surety Company as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract is issued to him or her. A cashier's check will not be accepted. The successful Bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas, to act as Surety. Estimate: $10,000,000 Scope The project is located in The Town of Fairview starting from the northern extent of existing Fairview Parkway, continuing north to the intersection with Ridgeview Drive, then continuing north to cross Sloan Creek, then continuing north to connect to the southern approach of the intersection of Fairview Crossing (formerly Frisco Road) and Medical Center Drive. The work generally includes the site prep and construction of: 6,700+- LF of 2-lane concrete roadway (of the ultimate 4-lane) including: 350 LF from existing Fairview Parkway to the proposed intersection at Ridgeview Drive Asphalt street header at Ridgeview Drive to the intersection with Fairview Parkway 6,350 LF from Ridgeview Drive to Fairview Crossing Storm drainage improvements 300 LF 4-lane Undivided Bridge over Sloan Creek Bid Alternate 1 - 16" waterline attached to the bridge Bid Alternate 2 - 2,000+- LF of 16-in waterline from Fairview Crossing extending south along Fairview Parkway (Bid Alternate 2) Bid Alternate 3 and 4 - Concrete parallel parking adjacent to Fairview Parkway Bid Alternate 5 - HDPE crossings for future utilities Bid Alternate 6 - PVC sleeving for future electrical, lighting, and communications Bid Alternate 7 - Additional grading as unclassified excavation. Only electronic bids will be accepted. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or formalities. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the price of the bids, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof, or to reject the bid. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause of rejection of any bid or bids. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids; and all bids submitted are subject to this reservation.
