Scope of Work : The intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for Prince William County (PWC) to obtain the services of qualified Contractors reliable and available to provide electrical services to multiple facilities within the County. Contractors must have the ability to perform various job assignments throughout the County and shall have sufficient resources to be able to respond to multiple job assignments at a time if requested. Response time for repair requests shall be 24 hours or less. Completion of such repairs shall be within 48 hours or less. The exact nature of work, amount of work, or times when work is required cannot be determined at this time. The Contractor is required to provide licensed electricians who are trained, licensed, fully certified, and qualified to repair, replace, and install electrical equipment, components, and related systems in residential and commercial buildings. Costs to train and certify technicians are not the responsibility of the County. Prince William County, hereafter referred to as "The County", owns and maintains numerous buildings and structures ranging from temporary structures to office and public services buildings covering several acres and over 200,000 sq-ft in floor space. The needs of the County therefore span the breadth of the work from the incoming power feeds from the transformer to the outlet and everything in between. The Contractor is responsible for maintaining traffic flow and ensuring the safety of vehicles and pedestrians in the area affected by the Contract work. To achieve this, the Contractor must provide all necessary traffic control devices such as signs, barricades, flashers, and flag personnel. These devices must comply with Local and Federal regulations. Furthermore, at least one employee of the Contractor present on-site where traffic control is required should be VDOT certified and capable of performing Basic Work Zone Traffic Control.
