City of Monroe located at 300 West Crowell Street in Monroe, North Carolina 28112 is seeking qualifications from highly qualified and experienced firms or teams to assist with the planning and design and construction plans for two (2) eight (8) feet multi-use paths and the design and implementation of interchange and streetscape improvements as identified in the Concord Avenue Area Master Plan. The selected firm or team will prepare a planning and design and construction documents for two (2) eight (8) feet multi-use paths along Skyway Drive and develop design and construction documents for the US 74/601 Interchange Enhancements and Skyway Drive Streetscape Design project that include landscape enhancements, street lighting, wayfinding, street trees, enhanced pedestrian connections, movement of utilities underground, gateway monumentation and signal design modifications. The scope of the improvements will generally align with the project extents of the US 74 and US 601 Interchange Project, state project number U-5726 (shown below as Exhibit A for reference), and coordination with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Division 10 will be required by the selected firm or team. The scope of work will also include recommendations for additional design beyond the extents along Skyway Drive to West Myers Street. Intersections along Skyway Drive to be evaluated include Pedro St., King St. Lydia St. and W. Myers St. The improvements will be primarily focused on Skyway Drive. The City will entertain bids for most recent model year, current model year and or program or demo type vehicles. You must submit a separate proposal page for each type of offering with model year and style clearly defined. Should you have a "stock" (on yard in inventory) offering, please mark this proposal accordingly. If an error or omission occurs bidder(s) must submit in writing no more than seventy two hours after the bid opening, a request to withdrawal their bid, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays for which City of Monroe offices are closed. All vehicles require 3 sets of keys, a full tank of gas, temporary tag and all pertinent paperwork upon delivery. This shall include invoice, certificate of origin, odometer disclosure statement, and completed MVR-1 form. No dealer advertisement insignia is allowed on City vehicles. Only identification is OEM plates as shipped. The City of Monroe has fleet number certifications for all major brands of vehicles. Please call or email Karen Penegar for this number if needed.
