Renovation of a library in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Working plans call for the renovation of a library.

Progressive Design-Build; renovations to the Halifax North Memorial Public Library (a mid-20th century civic building) to address building maintenance issues, accessibility and sustainability, and a reimagined the public space. The project will seek Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Gold Certification and net-zero building features and energy reduction measures will be implemented. TIMELINE: Marco Group, Lydon Lynch Architects and Teeple Architects have been selected as the Design-Build team. Conceptual planning and community engagements are underway. Construction start is planned for 2027. Further update may be available in early spring 2026.
