McKinley Elementary School New TK Classrooms project in Burlingame. The project scope includes, but is not limited to, 1). A new structure consisting of Two (2) Transitional Kindergarten Classrooms with student restrooms and common work area, an Office, and Staff restroom and, 2). A new Transitional Kindergarten play structure and outdoor learning spaces, including new shade structures. MEP and Fire Sprinklers subcontractors MUST be Prequalified with District prior to bid. Subcontractors wishing to prequalified must submit the prequalification questionnaire (available on the Burlingame School District's website) by August 6, 2024, at 5:00 PM, to kg@dtbarch.com. The final list of MEP subs will be issued Friday, August 9th at 5:00 PM. To ensure that your bids are considered, they must be received at our office by email, mail, phone, or fax no later than one-half hour prior to the bid closing time. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): B License The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Burlingame School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The successful bidder will be required to certify that it either meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") goal of three percent (3%) participation or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation in this Contract if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
