Scope of Work This City and TIB funded project provides improvements for new underground utilities and updates to the signal system, lighting system, ADA curb ramps, pavement and landscape restoration, roadway channelization, and other minor items of work, all in accordance with the Contract documents. The Engineer's estimate is $4,400,000 to $4,900,000. The Work is to be performed within the number of working days indicated on the bid proposal from the date of Notice to Proceed issued by the Owner and consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for all of the work necessary to complete the SW 148th Street Intersection Improvement Project as shown on the drawings and as required for a complete project as specified in the contract documents. This is a prevailing wage project per RCW 39.12. All bidders must certify that they are not on the Controller General's list of ineligible contractors, or the list of parties excluded from Federal procurement or non-procurement programs. Bid Acceptance All bid proposals shall be in accordance with the Plans and Specifications and must be submitted to the City Clerk, City of Burien, at the address posted above, no later than the time and date indicated above. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or bid bond made payable to the City of Burien in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Bid bonds shall be in a form satisfactory to the City Attorney. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory the bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit will be forfeited to the City of Burien.
