The City of Monroe City, Missouri, requests qualifications of an engineering firm to serve as engineer of record for a two-year period specifically for the Monroe City Water Treatment and Wastewater Plant. The goal is to hire a firm to assist the water utility with any engineering needs during this period, from project development to construction. Information provided to Monroe City must include: 1. The specialized experience and technical competence of the firm with respect to related work. 2. The capacity and capability of the firm to perform the work in question, including specialized services, within a period of twelve months. 3. The past record of performance of the firm with respect to such factors as control of costs, quality of work and ability to meet schedules. 4. The firm's proximity to and familiarity with the area in which the project is located. 5. References from previous clients of related work with the firm within the past five years. The firm will be selected based on the above qualifications. Once the most qualified firm is selected, a cost for preliminary engineering report/facility plan services will be negotiated. Costs for subsequent design and construction services will be negotiated separately. The ability to begin work immediately shall receive primary consideration.
