Polyurethane Foam Injection- Concrete Leveling. The lifting process will restore concrete to the original or desired grade using injected polyurethane foam. Lifting product shall be a two-part polymer, quick reacting, high density, geotechnical injection polyurethane foam, resistant to water penetration and degrading. TerraThane (TM) 2.7 lb. formula or approved equal. Drilled injection holes shall be < 3/4 " and shall be filled upon completion with color matching cement. The awarded contractor shall have a lightweight mobile unit, capable of performing concrete lifting services within parks and along trails. This unit shall have a combination weight of less than 9,000 pounds. Alternatives will be considered for approval, which show the capability to access these remote areas, without exceeding these weight restrictions for trails/bridges or causing damage to turf areas. The awarded contractor shall, at his own expense, repair any damage caused while providing services. Tire ruts or damage to existing City of Irving assets shall be repaired or replaced by the awarded contractor. Driving off paved surface must be approved by the City of Irving project representative. The intent of these specifications is to award an annual contract to provide Geofoam Concrete Leveling services for the Parks and Recreation Department. Locations will vary throughout the city which will include city facilities, driveways, parking lots, slabs, sidewalks and park features including trail sections. Any questions or requests for clarification should be submitted under the questions tab in this online solicitation. The responses will be posted after consultation with the appropriate department personnel. If the responses necessitate a significant change to the specifications, an addendum will be issued. CONTRACT PERIOD: The initial contract term will begin no sooner than September 1, 2024 and will run for approximately one year, ending on the last day of the month immediately preceding the month of award. Location - Awardee must be located within 25 miles of the City of Irving, 835 W. Irving Blvd, Irving TX 75060. Estimates - The City of Irving reserves the right to secure an estimate prior to commencement of all work. Estimates can be emailed to the requester in Nathan Frettoloso at nfrettol@cityofirving.org. Response time for estimates of concrete needing repair must be within 24 hours after request unless advised otherwise in writing. Estimate shall include time frame for completion of repairs.
