SCOPE: Franklin County invites qualified, experienced contractors to submit sealed Bids for the Install of a custom portable metal storage container "structure" to the left side of existing Franklin County structure within the tower site fenced area. The new structure will have 4 corner leveling jacks which will be bolted to new concrete piers. Once the building is set in place an ice bridge from the corner of the tower to the corner of the building will be installed to protect the coax cables until they enter the structure. The existing 100-amp electrical service will be removed and replaced with a new 200-amp service in buried conduit to the new structure. The existing generator and its gas connection will remain in the current location but will be rewired to the new transfer switch on the new structure. A new whole building UPS will be installed on site after the structure has been delivered. The cable trays will be installed on site after delivery secured to the ceiling to support all cables inside the building. The HALO grounding system will be installed on site after delivery and connected to the existing tower site grounding system. All equipment will be installed to meet or exceed current industry standards. The existing structure removal and discard will be the responsibility of the customer upon completion of the new structure and the equipment going online. All equipment will undergo a complete preventative maintenance inspection after installation to ensure everything is still operating within the manufacturer's specifications. The building will be stocked with all necessary accessories listed below and installation will be completed where required. Fire extinguisher will be inspected and tagged prior to installation. Entry door will be coded to match customer locks. All options listed below will be included, installed, and operational by project completion. Some items are factory installed during manufacturing of the structure while others will be installed on site after delivery. All systems will be tested for normal operation prior to project completion. Construction Size nominal: 8' x 15' long, one room shelter with a dark brown painted exterior finish. The shelter floor will be covered with light colored industrial grade epoxy or vinyl tile flooring. The interior walls and ceilings will be sheathed with 3/4" OSB backed white FRP board and insulated to R-11 in the walls and R-19 ceiling. The floor will be insulated to R-11 and a vapor barrier will be applied. One (1) 36" wide x 84" high insulated steel exterior door, with tamper-proof hinges, passage style lever handle, and keypad entry lockset. This door will be positioned right of center on the front 8' wide wall. 3000 lbs. side wind 4" square tube drop leg jacks will be mounted on each corner of the structure for on-site leveling. METHOD OF AWARD: The contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder who meets all the terms of the specifications or based on Best Value. The Franklin County Legislature reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to waive any informality in the Bidding. WARRANTY: A minimum 1 year warranty on labor and parts.
