Renovation of an educational facility in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,200-square-foot educational facility.
The University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics is renovating a 7,200 SF space within Hec Ed Arena to create the Big Ten Broadcast Control Center. The project includes new control rooms, a production studio, a technical operations center, donor event space, and office/workstation areas to support Big Ten Network broadcasting operations. It requires special attention to acoustics, installation of new panelboards, and the addition of cooling systems to support increased equipment loads, none of which currently exist in the facility. The University prioritizes inclusion of small and diverse businesses, and this project presents opportunities across multiple scopes of work. Firms with relevant certifications and experience are encouraged to participate in the bidding process. Prevailing wage rates and Mandatory 15% apprentice requirements apply to this project.
