All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check, made payable to the City of Mt. Pleasant, for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price. The City of Mt. Minimum insurance requirements are needed to provide this protection. The City of Mt. Pleasant is seeking bids to replace the existing boilers at our Water Treatment Plant. Bids should be submitted for cost of equipment, including freight, and installation and startup for two new Lochinvar Crest 750,000 Btu High Efficient boilers. Work should include the following: Removal and demo of current Peerless boilers. This involves separating cast iron sections for removal. All material will be removed from job site. Delivery of new boilers and moved into mechanical room. Water piping demo to adapt to new boiler piping locations, including removal of 3-way valve to make system primary/secondary setup. Boiler pumps installed with boiler including shut off valves and balancing valves Demo of vent piping to main stack with cap installed. Rework of gas line to boiler. Rework of electrical and control wiring to adapt to boiler Vent and intake PVC piping installed across ceiling of mechanical room to outside wall penetrations. Condensate drain piping installed to pump to access drain. Startup and Commissioning of boilers
