Exterior Overcoat, Wet Interior Partial Repaint, Dry Interior Spot Repaint and Misc. Repairs Delivery Point 9955 N. Haggerty Plymouth, Michigan United States 48170 Scope of work Tank Information: North Tank: The structure is a 1,000,000-gallon spheroid elevated water storage tank with a low-water level of 64.5 ft. located at 47889 5 Mile Rd. in Plymouth, MI. Lake Pointe Tank: The structure is a 400,000-gallon spheroid elevated water storage tank with an estimated lowwater level of 98 ft. located at 41212 Wilcox Rd. in Plymouth, MI. The work includes: North Tank: Exterior: High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi) and spot power tool clean to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane system. Wet Interior: Abrasive blast clean coating failures on the roof and on the access tube to a SSPCSP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy system. The cathodic protection system is to be removed and reinstalled by the owner's vendor (or approved equal), coordination and payment is the contractor's responsibility. Dry Interior: Spot power tool clean the spot coating failures throughout to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a spot two (2) coat epoxy system to the prepared surfaces. Foundation: Water clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Repairs: 1) Replace the transition cone manway gasket. 2) Install a handhold at the wet interior roof hatch. 3) Replace the expansion joint. 4) Overflow discharge modification. 5) Install painter's railing stand-offs. 6) Replace the rubber caps over the antenna penetrations in the basebell. 7) Replace the mud valves. 8) Install a coupling for a sensor on the roof. 9) Replace the dry interior light bulbs. Lake Pointe Tank: Repairs: 1) Replace the mud valves. 2) Install a coupling for a sensor on the roof. 3) Replace the wet interior roof hatch. 4) Install a handhold at the access tube roof hatch. 5) Install deflector bars on the fill/draw pipe. 6) Replace the condensate drain line. 7) Overflow discharge modification. 8) Replace the wet interior ladder. 9) Attach the bottom of the basebell ladder to the floor. 10) Replace the roof vent screen. 11) Install a roof handrail with a painter's railing. 12) Relocate antennas to the roof handrail. 13) Repair electrical conduit. 14) Replace the dry interior light bulbs. The Contractor is to abide by the following schedule: Fall Schedule: Commence work on or after September 1, 2024. Substantial Completion by November 1, 2024, including cure and disinfection time. Spring Schedule: Commence work on or after April 1, 2025. Substantial Completion by May 15, 2025, including cure and disinfection time. Questions should be directed to Tom Rounds., at Dixon Engineering, Inc., 1104 Third Avenue, Lake Odessa, MI 48849, 616-374-3221 Bids must be submitted with a Bid Bond of ten percent (10%) executed by a Surety Company licensed and admitted to do business in the State of Michigan and acceptable to the Township. Due to supply chain issues, the Owner reserves the right to require the Contractor to have all of the required coating for the project delivered to the site or to the Owner's storage facility prior to the tank being taken out-of-service and prior to the commencement of the project. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid within ninety (90) days after the date set for receipt of Bids. Prequalification of BIDDERS - Dixon Engineering will review qualifications of all Contractors and determine their status. Contractors will be prequalified for different sized tanks and towers based on experience, workmanship, successful Project completions with DIXON and Contractor's financial data. Prequalification protocol is in the Instructions to Bidders. Any Contractor who has any projects in dispute or unfinished because of Contract problems will be considered NOT prequalified. Disqualification will result in the return of any handling fee for Bidding Documents. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any Bid, and to make an award in any manner, consistent with law, deemed in the best interest of the Township
