Renovation of a municipal facility in Laurel, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of August 15, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. This Contract provides for the Replacement of 23 Toilets at I-95s North & South, Welcome Centers, 8202 Route-95, Laurel, Maryland 20723. Remove and salvage 11 existing toilets from I-95 Welcome Center, North, and 12 existing toilets from I-95 Welcome Center, South. The contractor shall undertake the following task: The Contractor shall review site conditions before beginning any work. He shall compare his/her bid with site conditions and report any variations to the Contract Manager. Upon affirmation of site conditions, Contractor shall proceed to install the new toilets. The contractor shall remove the existing toilets. The selected contractor shall temporally cap the toilet floor drains and protect the supply lines to the toilet. The contractor shall remove and dispose of the toilets. Remove wax rings and all flooring materials down to a clean, clear floor finish. Once the toilets have been removed, the contractor shall notify the Contract Manager to review the site. Upon review of the floor by the Contract Manager, he/she shall direct the contractor to proceed. All modifications to the Scope of Work shall be documented in writing and provided to the Contract Manager. If additional Cost has been incurred, an agreement must be created between the Contractor and the Contracting Manager before work can proceed. The successful contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, transportation, equipment, hoist/crane, and materials necessary to perform all work in accordance with this specification and scope of work in the manner called for, and to the satisfaction of the State Highway Administration Office of Maintenance (OOM). Vendor is to use best practices established in the construction industry to perform this work. Contractor shall be licensed and insured to perform work in the State of Maryland. Work associated with this project shall not interfere with the maintenance facilities work under emergency summer or winter operations. Water supply shutdown preparation: Shall be coordinated with the Contract Manager. Work Schedule: Perform all work during normal work hours. Contractor shall provide to the Contract Manager a Construction Schedule for his/her approval. Contractor may request through the Contract Manager for additional hours in the day or weekend, which must be approved in writing. Cleanup: Thoroughly clean the work area each day; disposing of debris and materials responsibly. Final cleaning shall be reviewed by the Contract Manager and signed off/approved before Final Payment is approved. The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is soliciting lump sum bids for removal and salvage of 12 existing toilets at I-95 Welcome Center South Side and 11 existing toilets at I-95 Welcome Center North side Restrooms Located in Savage Maryland.
