furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and performing all work required including all appurtenances for the following: Various Street Paving Repairs 2024. As set forth in the specifications the project is designed to perform on-call pavement repairs at various locations within the Shady Shores town limits. The scope of work could include full depth reclamation with HMAC base and surface courses, localized asphalt street repairs with flexible base course and HMAC overlay, reinforced concrete street pavement (HES) repairs, and other miscellaneous work associated with street repairs and replacement. Proposals shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check on a state or national bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the possible total of the bid submitted, payable without recourse to the Town of Shady Shores, Texas, or an acceptable bid bond for the same amount from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract. The notice of award of contract shall be given to the successful bidder within ninety (90) days following the opening of bids. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a material and labor Payment Bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from a surety authorized under the laws of the State of Texas to act as a surety on bonds for principals. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to select bid best suited to the Owner's best interest. The contractor, to be successful in bidding this project, shall have completed a minimum of three (3) projects of similar size and scope within the past five years. The successful bidder will be awarded a twelve (12) month agreement effective the date of award. Prices are to remain firm for the twelve (12) month agreement period. At Owner's option, the agreement may be renewed for two (2) additional twelve (12) month periods at the same fixed price proposed by Contractor.
