Reference Number: 0000357758 The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidental items but is not limited to the following major items of work: Resin Impregnated Felt Lining of 8" through 24" Diameter Sewer - 6,690 LF In addition, the work includes internal cutting of protruding service connections prior to lining as stipulated in the project specifications or as determined by the engineer. All work shall be performed using proven trenchless processes which do not require open-cut excavations. Open-cut excavations shall only be performed when approved in writing by the engineer, if the City determines that the work cannot be performed by remote internal type equipment. The location of the work specified under this contract is as shown on the cover sheet of the plans and as listed in Table 1 on pages PS 11 and PS 12 of the project specifications. The City reserves the right to make modifications to the locations of the work. Each sewer run to be lined shall be thoroughly cleaned and internally televised and video recorded prior to lining. At least three (3) days prior to lining a sewer run, one (1) copy of the pre-lining television inspection report and one (1) copy of the pre-lining video stored and saved in USB flash drive or in any approved digital data storage device, must be furnished to the engineer. The pre-lining television inspection report shall clearly indicate the existing pipe diameter and the total number of active service connections within the sewer run. The report shall serve as field verification by the contractor and city inspector of the existing pipe diameter and total number of active service connections. The contractor shall perform dye testing of lateral service connections if needed or as directed by the engineer to verify live or active service connections. Dye testing shall be performed in conjunction with the pre-lining television inspection work. Dye testing operation will not be paid separately, but the cost associated with the work shall be considered included in the sewer lining items of the contract. It is presently estimated that no more than ten (10) service connections are needed for dye testing to verify service connection's status.
