Site work, paving and renovation of a civil project in Bettendorf, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the Spencer Creek Lift Station Improvements, Bid Package No. 1 - Lift Station project, which consists of the following: 1. Construction of a cast-in-place concrete sanitary sewer lift station, including submersible pumps, trash basket, and process piping; 2. Construction of a precast concrete valve vault and flow metering structure; 3. Construction of a masonry lift station building and associated electrical and mechanical components, including associated site work and concrete paving; 4. Installation of a standby generator and associated electrical controls; 5. Installation of approximately 140 linear feet of new 24" diameter gravity sewer and related appurtenances; 6. Installation of approximately 60 linear feet of new 12" diameter force main and related appurtenances; 7. Connection of two existing lift stations to Spencer Creek Lift Station; 8. Construction of a crushed stone access road from Wells Ferry Road to the lift station; and 9. All other work as required by the contract documents. The Work shall be performed west of Wells Ferry Road, near 19821 Wells Ferry Road, Bettendorf, IA 52722. All bids must be filed in the Office of the City Engineer before the time herein set, on forms furnished by the Owner, and must be enclosed in a separate sealed envelope and plainly identified. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, and as specified in the Bidding Documents, as security that if awarded a contract, the bidder will enter into a contract at the prices bid and furnish the required performance and payment bonds and Certificate of Insurance. Each successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds acceptable to the Owner on forms provided in the specifications in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Work on the improvement shall commence within 30 days after the Effective Date of the Contract, or on the day indicated in the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued upon approval of the contract and bonds by the City Council and the Work shall be completed as stated below. The Work shall be substantially completed on or before March 1, 2026, and the Work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before June 1, 2026. Failure to meet either the Substantial Completion date or Final Completion date will result in the assessment of liquidated damages of $1,500.00 per calendar day. The Owner hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
