General work description: This is a ongoing maintenance job that requires the vendor to maintain the fountain at the Warrington Gateway Park. The vendor shall make weekly visits to the site. The vendor shall keep the pool and water clean and free of debris. Services are for a period of twelve (12) months. The bid is composed of two parts: Duties to include routine fountain maintenance services that are performed weekly, quarterly and annually. The vendor must also bid on services to be performed one-time to address certain non-reoccurring issues. Other services (for example: pump replacement) will be cost estimated by the vendor as a price agreement for future service on an as-needed basis. These other services are not to be included in the bid total, but defined in the bid as the price agreement for future services. The selected vendor shall submit invoices monthly for payment. Scope of Work or Project Details ITEM 1 Weekly duties: conduct inspections on all equipment related to the fountain, adding chlorine as needed (supplied by the vendor), and cleaning debris out of the fountain pool to include the debris accumulated in the two removable baskets in the side of the pool. The vendor shall keep the pool water and the pool clean and free of debris. Quarterly duties: back-flushing the system and drains, draining the pool and removing all debris from the bottom of the pool, and cleaning the cartridge filter. Annual duties: replacing the cartridge filter with a new one (supplied by the vendor), ITEM 2 One-time services are as follows (each of the three (3) items below are one-time projects that must be estimated and included in the bid): Drain the pool and install a crate-style filter that would prevent debris from entering the plumbing of the fountain. Fabricating or purchasing a crate-type filter solution is the responsibility of the vendor. Replace the five (5) submersible lights in the fountain so that the fountain has five (5) working submersible lights. This service may also require electrical work to troubleshoot the problem. Install a timer on the pump (to be supplied by the vendor) to allow the pump to shut off for a few hours every night to extend the life of the pump. ITEM 3 The following services shall also be cost-estimated in anticipation of repairs that may be needed in the future: Replace a fountain or circulation pump (lump sum cost to purchase and install) Repairing leaks in the plumbing or at the shut off levers (hourly rate) Repairing clogged pipes (hourly rate) Services are for a period of twelve (12) months, renewable for up to two (2) additional twelve (12) month periods, for a total of thirty-six (36) months. The bid estimate must be based on: ITEM 1: the ANNUAL cost to perform these services, ITEM 2: the ONE-TIME cost to preform the three (3) services stated above ***The bid shall also include a price list for the three (3) anticipated repairs that may arise in the future , identified above as ITEM 3. The price list for the services in ITEM 3 are not to be calculated into your bid total. Rather, Escambia County will need the prices identified in case such a future service is required to be performed by the vendor. This price list will be the agreed upon amount that the vendor will perform those repairs should the need arise. The selected vendor shall submit invoices monthly for payment.
