This project involves repair to the brick façade on the CIP walls on the north and south side of Street between 51st Street and 52nd Street. Anticipated Notice to Proceed date: Monday, 6/2/2025 The Work will be substantially completed within 30 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 60 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond: a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's checks drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the state, payable to City of Omaha, or lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable). LETTERS OF CREDIT ARE NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR A BID BOND AND WOULD BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF BID. Liquidated Damages. Substantial Completion: Contractor shall pay Owner $2,000.00 for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) specified in Paragraph 4.02.Babove for Substantial Completion until the Work is substantially complete. 2. Completion of Remaining Work: After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Times (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, Contractor shall pay Owner $2,000.00 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. 3. Liquidated damages for failing to timely attain Substantial Completion and final completion are not additive and will not be imposed concurrently.4. Owner shall have the right to deduct liquidated damages from any money in its hands, otherwise due, or to become due, to Contractor, or to initiate applicable dispute resolution procedures and to recover liquidated damages for nonperformance of this Contract within the time stipulated. City of Omaha reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
