The City of Dublin is accepting proposals for underground fiber optics design and upgrade on Madison Street located in Dublin, GA. The City of Dublin (the "City") has adopted a Madison St. Beatification Project which includes the placing the fiber optic cables underground. The City will also be upgrading the cable form a 96 ct. to a 144 ct. fiber optics cable. The City is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide all necessary service and materials for placing the cable underground either via a Boring or Trenching method. This will also involve the splicing of the cable from the existing lines to the upgraded lines. The location along Madison St. is from just south of the GMC building on off Jefferson St. to S. Church St. in Dublin, Georgia. To be considered, the completed proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked "Request for Proposal #24-0715-01". No faxed or e-mailed proposals will be accepted. Only the name of the proposer will be read aloud at the opening. No pricing information will be disclosed until award. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive formalities and technicalities, and to make an award in the best interest of the City. Any explanation desired by any proposer regarding this proposal must be requested in writing by Friday, August 2, 2024, for a reply to reach proposers before the submission of their proposal.
