Energy Northwest, a joint operating agency in Washington State, has received a $14.5 million grant through the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary program to install 40 fast chargers and 12 Level 2 chargers across western Washington State and northern Oregon. The project would provide EV access to largely rural and disadvantaged communities, including on indigenous lands. There are 10 locations in Washington State: Longview in the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for $1,412,500, Ilwaco and Raymond in Pacific Co. in Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), Forks and Sequim in Clallam Co., Quilcene and Port Ludlow in Jefferson Co., and Kalaloch, Kamilche, and Shelton in Mason Co. in the Peninsula RTPO.
