Closing Time: 2:30 PM (NT) ** Please note that there has been 2 addendum issued for this project. ** Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/07/29 02:30:00 PM NDT The Province is requesting bids for paint and siding repairs, for the building exterior of St. Peter's Elementary, 144 Main Road, Upper Island Cove, NL, A0A 4E0. Scrap and remove any loose paint from existing wooden siding. Replace damaged and/or rotten wood siding and/or corner boards. Paint all exterior siding on school, with one coat of primer and two coats of paint on the entire exterior of the building. Paint concrete foundation of building, gray to match existing. Approximate area of exterior wooden siding is 17,000 SQ FT. Approximate area of exterior metal siding to be painted is 650 SQ FT. (Elevator shaft, north side). Estimate approximately 2,000 SQ FT of 10 pine clapboard siding needing to be replaced. Replace to match existing. Estimate approx 250 FT of 2" x 6" comer board spruce lumber to be replaced. New spruce lumber shall have one coat of primer and two coats of finish color paint. School will be painted with two colors, HC-170 Stonington Gray and HC-85 Hodley Red. Existing white siding will be painted with HC-170 Stonington Gray. All existing accent color red exterior to be painted HC-85 Hodley Red. Paint all exterior steel doors and door frames. Eight (8) Single Exterior doors and frames and one (1) double door and frame. Color HC-85 Hodley Red. Paint concrete foundation around perimeter of school with gray paint to match existing. Pictures of the school building can be found in Appendix A, attached (NLSCHOOLS-24-108 Appendix A- Site Photos.pdf). It is strongly recommended that bidders visit the school site, to familiarize themselves with the building and scope of work. All work, traffic control measures, and construction signage must be provided in accordance with the authorities having jurisdiction. Any work that may interfere with normal school operations shall be checked and coordinated with the owner. Streets, sidewalks, parking areas, etc. shall not be obstructed without permission of the authorities having jurisdiction and the Owner. Contractor will guarantee all materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of installation for each particular item of work.
