Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Chetwynd, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The District of Chetwynd is seeking proposals for upgrades to the existing gravel walking/running track at Rotary Park that will include some excavation, placement and compaction of base gravels, and installation of a rubberized walking/running surface. The successful proponent will evaluate the site and provide a proposed design and scope of work to the District for their approval. The general scope of work, as currently understood by the District, includes the following: Confirm depth and suitability of base gravels on existing track. Re-shape existing oval track and remove approximately 2.5" of gravels from the surface of oval track. Excavate 100m track area to a depth of approximately 8.5" and fill with 6" of 3/4 " minus crushed gravel compacted to 98% SPMDD. Supply and install rubber surfacing on oval track and 100m track such that the finished grade is approximately level with existing grass fields. Thickness of rubber surfacing to be 2". Cleanup and landscaping as required, which will include adding some topsoil and grass seed where needed. The District will be responsible for watering any new grass.
