Galaxy All-Abilities Park will be a 1.29-acre all-abilities park adjacent to the new Fort Bend County Annex Building in Sugar Land, Texas. Designed to cater to individuals of all ages and abilities, this space-themed park will offer a variety of recreational opportunities while ensuring full accessibility and community engagement. The park's design includes two distinct thematic zones, each carefully designed to provide age- appropriate and inclusive play experiences. The Children's Zone will offer play equipment, such as climbers and rocket-themed structures, encouraging both physical activity and imaginative play. The smaller Toddler Zone will feature age-appropriate play structures, sensory elements, and interactive installations, all inspired by space exploration. Both zones will be fully accessible, with equipment designed to accommodate various physical and cognitive abilities. Both zones will be fully accessible, with equipment designed to accommodate various physical and cognitive abilities All bidders must submit, WITH BID, a cashier's check or certified check for at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the order of Fort Bend County, or a Bid Bond in the same amount issued by a surety, acceptable to Fort Bend County, authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as a guarantee that the Bidder will do the work described herein at the rates stated herein. Unsuccessful bidder's Cashier's Check or Certified Check will be returned only after a written request to do so have been received in the Office of the Fort Bend County Purchasing Agent. County and the Contractor recognize the delays, expense, and difficulties involved in proving in a legal or arbitration proceeding the actual loss suffered by the County if the work is not complete on time. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, the County and the Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty) the Contractor shall pay the County $250.00 for each day that expires after the time specified herein for completion until the Work is complete, unless contract time has been adjusted by extension of time approved by Commissioner's Court Unit pricing required; payment will be by check. Bonds are required. Fort Bend County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
