Site work and paving for a road / highway in Westport, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Included in the attachments are the state prevailing wage rates and the Westport Conservation Order of Conditions that apply to this project. Each prospective bidder must submit with their bid a bid deposit equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of bid. The bid deposit may be in the form of a certified check, bank treasurers or cashier's check, or a bid bond from a responsible surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each prospective bidder will also be required to comply with the provisions of Chapter 306 of the Acts of 2004 in regard to required OSHA approved safety & health training. The estimated total value of this contract is $950,000.00. The contract contains a price adjustment for Hot Mix Asphalt Mixtures (new material method). The Base Price for Liquid Asphalt for this project will be $640.00. The Town of Westport reserves the right to wave any information or Irregularities in the proposals received or to accept proposals only deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Westport. All bids shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the date of the bid opening. The Board of Selectmen will award the Contract on behalf of the Town of Westport no later than ten (10) days after the date of the bid opening.
