Site work for a road / highway in Aurora, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Reference Number : 0000357966 The project will hire a contractor to install speed cushions requested by citizens as part of the City of Aurora Traffic Calming Program. These cushions will be installed to provide residents a proven method of speed reduction within their neighborhoods. The contractor will construct thirty-eight (38) speed cushions at locations throughout the City. This project will include the installation of new speed cushions on eight (8) roadways. Speed cushion design has been fully vetted by licensed professional engineers and complies with national best practices for speed cushion installation. The speed cushions will be constructed by utilizing asphalt concrete to achieve precise vertical deflection of the roadway which will be able to be comfortably traversed at the posted speed limit of the roadway and will allow life safety vehicles to pass unaffected. The traveling public will be alerted to the location of the speed cushions with signage and roadway markings compliant with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and City of Aurora standards. Work not specifically called for, but which must be accomplished to construct the work required under this contract, shall be considered as a part of this contract, whether or not specifically detailed. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Aurora in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Original bid bonds do not have to be mailed; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time. Bid that the Principal deposit with the City either a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or a Bid Bond in an amount equivalent to not less than five per cent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The estimated cost for this project is from $270,000.00 to $285,293.00. The Contract Documents require that all work be completed within 120 Calendar Days from and including the date of Notice to Proceed. Failure to complete the work as prescribed shall be considered as a Breach of Contract and subject to Liquidated Damages which are $200.00 per day. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
