The City of Homestead, FL is seeking a qualified contractor to carry out the deinstallation and conservation of the mosaic mural located at Old City Hall. The project aims to safely remove the mural, restore any damaged sections, and ensure its long-term preservation. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating the deinstallation process, implementing proper conservation methods, and delivering the mural to a designated storage facility. The project must comply with relevant standards and ensure the preservation of the artwork's historical and cultural significance. Deinstallation and removal of the Fran Williams mosaic mural currently located at the former City Hall of the City of Homestead, located at 790 North Homestead Blvd. Homestead, FL 33030. Question Submission Deadline:July 26, 2024, 5:00pm A site inspection will follow the Pre-Bid Meeting. Each Bidder is required to visit the site of the proposed Project and to become fully informed and familiar with any conditions, which may in any manner, affect the Project or work to be done, or the character, quality and quantities of work to be performed and materials to be furnished. Each Bidder attending this site inspection is required to complete the Inspection Indemnity Form attached to this Invitation to Quote. Bidders who do not supply the Inspection Indemnity Form and all required information will not be permitted to attend the site inspection. This site may contain a variety of physical conditions, including but not limited to uneven ground, construction areas, and potentially hazardous materials. Visitors are advised to exercise caution and be aware of their surroundings at all times. Visitors to this site assume all risks associated with their presence on the property. The City is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur as a result of the conditions present on the site. REQUIRED INSURANCE - CITY OF HOMESTEAD RFQs These are mandatory insurance requirements, please be sure to fulfill each requirement listed below. All policies, endorsements, certificates and/or binders shall be subject to approval by the City's Risk Management as to form and content. These requirements are subject to amendment or waiver only if so approved in writing by a duly authorized representative of the City. A lapse in any required insurance coverage during this Contract shall be considered a material breach. Further it is understood and agreed by Proposer that nothing in this provision shall waive or otherwise limit the right of the City to modify INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS to meet the demands of special or unique circumstances. Accordingly, those rights are expressly reserved by the City.
