Description PURCHASE OF FAA RUNWAY SAND The Proposal must be responsive to this RFP in all respects. The Proposal must be sufficiently detailed to enable the Authority to evaluate and assess it in relation to the Authority's evaluation criteria. All information requested should be included in the Proposal at the time of submission. Although the Authority is not obligated to evaluate incomplete submissions, or to accept additional and supplemental materials, it may choose to do so. Proposals will be retained by and become the property of the Authority. CONTRACT COMMENCEMENT SEPTEMBER 16, 2024 Add Desc( Agreement Term: The Authority intends to enter into one or more Purchase Order(s) for the Scope of Service The term of the Purchase Order(s) for shall be three (3) years with two (2) one (1) year renewal options to extend. Scope of Service: Materials applied to aircraft movement surfaces must consist of washed granular mineral sand particles free of stone, clay, debris, slag, chloride salts, and other corrosive substances. The pH of the water solution containing the material must be approximately neutral (pH 7). Material must meet the following gradation using a U.S.A. Standard Sieve conforming to ASTM E 11-81. Percent by Weight Passing Sieve Sieve Designation 100% 4 97-100% 8 30-60% 16 0-10% 50 0-2% 80 Prices to include all freight, shipping, delivery, fuel and handling charges required during regular hours, after hours, holidays, weekends and emergency requests. Delivery Requirements: Sand shall be delivered as needed in twenty (20) ton loads, or as requested. The Authority reserves the right to add or remove locations at its sole discretion during the term of the resulting Agreements. The Authority reserves the right to short list Proposers, invite Proposers for an interview/demonstration either by phone, video, or in person and/or to request best and final offers. The Authority is not required to select the lowest cost Proposal, but rather, the Proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Authority. To the extent that this RFP is subject to statutory bidding requirements as stated elsewhere in the RFP, such statutory bidding requirements shall supersede any conflicting provisions herein.
