The Sidewalk Replacement Program (Year1) will cover hazardous, deteriorated and missing walkways in the City of Dunkirk's Census Tract 355, Block 1 (55.89% LMI) and Census Tract 355, Block 2 (85.85% LMI) areas. Sidewalk replacement will consist of: 1) Excavating existing sidewalk, 2) Apply stone as needed, 3) Pour 4,000 PSI concrete, 4) Create a Smooth finish, and 5) Restore landscape/surrounding grass areas. The project work is separated into (4) predetermined, separate work area sections. Each work area section is to be invoiced and paid out separately. Each area work section will follow the Federal HUD CDBG documentation requirements, including prevailing wage rates and payroll paperwork. Bids should be handed in quoting each specified work area section, either indicating cost via sq. ft. breakdown or overall section total cost. The entire project bid which includes all (4) work area sections, should not exceed $95,709.00. If supplied sidewalk list results in submitted bid pricing excessive of the $95,709.00 requested cap, the city may choose to consider awarding a submitted bid that shows it can achieve the most sidewalks replaced per the provided cap amount. The Sidewalk Project (Year 1) work should be completed by November 1, 2024, however if this cannot be achieved due to scheduling conflicts, at least (2) of the (4) provided work area sections are required to be completed by the November 1, 2024.
