Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Mebane, North Carolina. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a 2,800-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.

As of November 7, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Bidding is expected to take place in the fall of 2026 with construction to start in November of 2026. Services - Veterinary Medical Technology Instructional Barn Project Scope. The instructional barn will be constructed at the Bill & Nancy Covington Education Center located at 2610 S. Jim Minor Rd, Mebane, NC, ACC's 47-acre farm. The barn will support the new Veterinary Medical Technologist program based out of ACC's Main Campus. The instructional barn will be approximately 1,600 SF with an additional 1,200 SF loft. The proposed structure will be heavy timber framing with metal siding and roofing. Within the structure, there will be a vet teaching laboratory, office, feed/tack room, restrooms, large animal treatment area and animal housing (covered stalls, kennels). The scope will also include site improvements including the addition of a driveway and parking, extension of existing water and electric on the property as well as the addition of a sewer/septic system for the facility. Utilities for the structure will be what is typical for a working barn with a veterinary teaching lab. Total Project Budget $1,250,000. Please submit FIVE (5) copies of current SF 254 Form with the required letters of interest and the information package. In the interest of costs-savings to the designers, consistency of the submittals and more efficient use of time by the pre-selection committee, the submitted information package should not include any notebooks, binders, tab, clips, etc. The format should be 8-1/2" x 11" pages stapled in the upper left-hand corner. The package length should not exceed twenty (20) pages plus the SF 254 Form. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
