This Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC), Bledsoe County Correctional Complex (BCCX) for the replacement of ten (10) guild doors. Services shall
include the removal of the current Left-Hand Reverse (LHR) doors, frames and locks, the replacement of the doors, frames, and the installation of all other associated hardware and
accessories. The Contractor shall provide written notification to the State upon project completion and shall provide a minimum warranty of twelve (12) months on both parts and labor.
Locks are to be supplied by the facility, per the specifications. Specifications and terms & conditions are attached. The Contractor shall remove the existing front door, and frame, from each detention grade
guild unit. Contractor shall install the new detention grade frame; guild door and hardware
complete with a security glazed vision panel. While the work is being performed, the door
shall be deemed out-of-service and the Contractor shall maintain security of the area until
the door is accepted and determined to be operable by the State. The contractor shall furnish and remove Ten (10) existing door and frames from Ten (10)
Guild Building Entries and install Ten (10) new 12 ga, galvanneal detention grade doors
and frames. Doors and frames will be prepped for Four (4) detention hinges. Contractor
will furnish and install Forty (40) detention mortise hinges, Ten (10) raised pulls, Ten (10)
recessed pulls, Ten (10) surface mount security closures, Ten (10) Trim Protector Bar - Long
Lever Handles and Ten (10) threshold plates. New polycarbonate to be supplied and
installed at each door matching existing clear opening. Locks to be supplied by facility. All doors shall be Detention Grade 1 per ASTM F1450. Door and windows are in the same
custom hollow metal frame. Door is 3'x7' with a top lite. The sidelight measurement is
8"x22" x 1/2" Polycarbonate. The placement is 12-1/2" from top and 7-1/2" from the right
side of the door. The doors shall be 36" x 84" x 2" in size and shall be hollow galvanized steel with seamless
twelve (12) gage skin and stiffened steel cores reinforced at hinges, strikes, closers, lock
pockets, etc. and edge channels welded so they are flush the with edge of the doors on all
four (4) sides. Exterior Door:
One (1) - 12 gage Hollow Metal Doors to include:
o Left Hand Reverse Door Size 3'x7' (36"x84"x2").
o 12 gage frames with 5/8" stops and 2" faces reinforced.
Hinge reinforcement 7 gage.
Strike reinforcement 12 gage.
Prepped for Four (4) 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" Stainless Steel Security Hinges each door.
Prep for series 7080MG0310 RR Brinks Locks.
o 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" Stainless Steel Security hinges and Screws (4 each).
o The sidelight measurement is 8"x22" x 1/2" Polycarbonate. The placement is 12-1/2"
from top and 7-1/2" from the right side of the door.
o Stainless Steel Flush Cup Door Pull.
