Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sayreville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The project also includes water service Investigations/Verifications during the removal/replacement of approximately 60 +/- existing water service curb boxes within Schussler Street, Gereghty Street, Singleton Street and Olsen Street rights-of-way located in the Morgan Area of the Borough. The work involved with these improvements includes the maintenance/protection of traffic; cutting/removal of existing trees, installation of new street trees; excavation of test pits for utility upgrades; installation of approximately 1,160 lineal feet +/- of 12" / 15" diameter RCP Class IV and V storm sewer pipe reaches; repair of approximately 2 +/- existing storm sewer inlet structures of various types/sizes; reconstruction of approximately 9 +/- existing storm sewer inlet/manhole structures of various types/sizes; removal/replacement of existing deteriorated storm sewer manhole casting; construction of approximately 18 +/- new Type "C" Inlet structures; removal/disposal of existing storm sewer pipe reaches/structures to be in-active; extending of approximately 65 +/- existing roof leader drains to new curb; extending existing sump pump lines/roof leader drains to storm sewer structures; installation of approximately 750 lineal feet +/- of 8" cement lined DIP Class 52 water main; various types of connections to existing water lines; installation of approximately 6 +/- new 8" MJ gate valves; installation of new fire hydrant assembly; removal/replacement of existing fire hydrant including connection to existing pipe runout and all appurtenances; installation of approximately 11 +/- new 1" water service connections to existing/proposed water lines and existing water services, where ordered; removal/replacement of approximately 65 +/- existing water service curb boxes associated with the roadway/utility improvements; abandonment of existing water mains, valves and services; resetting of existing water main/hydrant valve boxes to grade; installation of concrete encasement around existing utility lines, where ordered; resetting of approximately 6 +/- existing sanitary sewer manhole castings to grade; removal/replacement of approximately 14 +/- existing deteriorated sanitary sewer manhole castings; reconstruction of existing sanitary sewer manhole structures, where ordered; removal/replacement of existing 8" gravity sanitary sewer system with approximately 75 lineal feet +- of new 8" PVC SDR-35 pipe reach including maintenance of existing sewage flows, television inspection of removed/replaced sanitary sewer lines and removal/disposal of existing sanitary sewer lines; all connections to existing sewer lines; removal of approximately 6,200 lineal feet +/- of various types of existing concrete curbs; removal of approximately 14,000 square feet +/- of various types of concrete sidewalks, slabs, driveways and/or aprons; construction of approximately 8,500 lineal feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete curbs, approximately 100 lineal feet +/- of new standard County concrete curbs, approximately 8,500 square feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete sidewalks; approximately 200 square feet +/- of new standard County reinforced concrete sidewalks and approximately 5,500 square feet +/- of new standard Borough reinforced concrete driveways and/or aprons; furnishing/installation of cast-in-place handicapped sidewalk ramp delineation; restoration of hot mix asphalt and stone driveways; cutting/removal of approximately 12,500 square yards +/- of existing roadway asphalt pavement; roadway milling of approximately 4,000 square yards +/- of existing asphalt pavement; installation of dense graded aggregate base course, if and where ordered; installation of approximately 3,100 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt base course material; resurfacing the entire roadways with approximately 2,100 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt surface and leveler course material; application of approximately 2,200 lineal feet +/- of traffic pavement stripes/markings (4" wide lines) and approximately 50 square feet +/- of roadway pavement markings (words/symbols); application of fire hydrant pavement markings (symbols); furnishing/installation of topsoil and sod; Right-of-Way / Property restoration; and all other preparation, restoration and associated work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check or Cash in the Amount of Not Less Than Ten (10%) Percent of the Bid, but Not More Than $20,000.00 Payable Without Any Conditional Endorsement as a Guarantee That in Case the Contract is Awarded to the Bidder, He Will Within Ten (10) Days Thereafter Execute Such Contract and Furnish Satisfactorily Performance Bonds. Upon Failure to Do So He Shall Forfeit the Deposit as Liquidated Damages and the Acceptance of the Bid Will Be Contingent Upon the Fulfillment of This Requirement by the Bidder. No Interest Shall Be Allowed Upon Any Such Certified Check or Cash. A Bid Bond in the Amount of Ten (10%) Percent of the Bid, but Not More Than $20,000.00, May Be Substituted for Certified Check or Cash. the Borough Reserves the Right to Increase or Decrease Quantities Specified in the Manner Designated in the Specifications. The Borough Reserves the Right to Award This Contract Based on Funds Available. All Bidders Are Required to Be Registered With the New Jersey Department of Labor if They Elect to Bid Public Work Projects. the Borough Reserves the Right to Reject Any, or All Bids if in Its Opinion It is in the Best Interest to Do So and to Award the Contract for Any and/or All Items.
